He studied violin repair and production in Italy for several years, and after returning to Japan, he worked as a wood and woodworking instructor at a university. He makes not only musical instruments but also furniture and tableware, and his works are displayed in his workshop.

stilblu Model AD. Cutaway 蒼 “ao” WASHI & Japanese Lacquer Texture
Japanese Lacquer(漆urushi) craft artist Takumi Koizumi
The naturalness of human breathing is projected onto his confident works. He uses lacquer and Japanese paper to create his works, valuing such natural textures.
He was born in Kyoto, studied crafts at the University of Toyama, and teaches as an assistant professor at the University of Toyama where he studied.
The photos shown are examples of his work, which is very light, elegant, and so durable that it is hard to believe it is made of paper.
In this work, he boldly designed the body of the guitar in Japanese paper and lacquer.
The sound is massive due to the Japanese paper applied, and has a strong mid to low frequency range.
It is a work of art made with very advanced technology.
Below is his official website. Please take a look at his many beautiful works.
Thanks for seeing it through to the end. Please check out our official website as well.
Thank you!
